From Julian Montague’s ‘State of America' series.

The Buffalo-based artist’s website is FULL of awesome, eclectic work. I recommend checking it out. Especially the ‘Stray Shopping Cart Project'…

The best words to describe Antonio Chiesa may well be “renaissance artist” (fitting given the presumably Italian name). His site offers samples of his photo, graphics and video work. Within those categories you will find assorted offerings (For example - plain ol’ mosaics OR 3-D mosaics…?) I was drawn to his website after seeing his Superflat series somewhere on the webs but wound up being quite captivated by much of it (including the butterfly mosaic seen above.) Definitely recommend checking out his work, especially if you have a lot of time to kill.

Great text based image, or greatest text based image?
Jonas Fleuraime created this depiction of Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo (i.e. - half of Daft Punk) using the lyrics from a variety of Daft Punk songs. Currently a student at Savannah College of Art and Design, Fleuraime is a gifted text based artist. (Is that a phrase?) Check out more of his pop-culture inspired, text based images here.
